Book Review – The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater

If you could steal things from dreams, what would you take?
Ronan Lynch has secrets. Some he keeps from others. Some he keeps from himself.
One secret: Ronan can bring things out of his dreams.
And sometimes he’s not the only one who wants those things.
Ronan is one of the raven boys – a group of friends, practically brothers, searching for a dead king named Glendower, who they think is hidden somewhere in the hills by their elite private school, Aglionby Academy. The path to Glendower has long lived as an undercurrent beneath town. But now, like Ronan’s secrets, it is beginning to rise to the surface – changing everything in its wake.

My rating:

Oh Ronan. You poor boy. He is a hard character to follow, and i do think the book suffers a little with it, but my heart just went out to him throughout this.
I really did not expect the Gray Man subplot at all, and while I didn’t love it, i did end up liking him.
Adam definitely struggles in this as well – while suffering with the deal he made with cabeswater.
I continue to love Blue and Gansey (even if i dont care if they get together!) and the overall quest, but this book is definitely more about the dreaming and Ronan than the quest. Kavinsky is also a really great addition, as I really loved to hate him throughout the book!
