Book Review – A Rather Vengeful Accord by Danielle Knight
The premise of this, and the the comp titles, definitely sold me on the concept here. While it took a little while for me to warm up to it, when I knew roughly what was going on, I had a great time with it!

Book Review – Six Wild Crowns by Holly Race
I am not normally a historical fiction reader, but I adored Holly’s previous series and the idea of a fantasy retelling based on the wives of Henry VIII really intrigued me.

Book Review – The Cursed Melodies by Connie Glynn
I think I struggled with this at first as it took a while to get going and because the twins don’t learn about the role for a good while. When we finally do get to understand what’s going on, the book picks up.

Book Review – The Unfathomable Curse by Courtney Smyth
This series is just so much fun, and I loved this installment! It was great to see more of the world and the council and how it affects Cornelia in particular.
-
Book Review – A Treachery of Swans by A B Poranek
I loved Poranek’s first book and came to this with high expectations and I’m so pleased that it was exactly what I wanted it to be.

Book Review – Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter by Heather Fawcett
This is a book I was hyped for and yet was still somehow everything I didn’t know I needed. Set in 1920s Montreal, I loved that it didn’t feel too historical (more just a little old fashioned and fantastical, which is a good mix) and that we got little insights into Montreal, a place I don’t think I’ve seen as a book setting before.

Book Review – A Judgement of Powers by Benedict Jacka
I’m having such a good time with this very readable series. It’s very accessible and I’m enjoying the urban fantasy elements a lot - I really need this genre to reemerge!

Book Review – The House Saphir by Marissa Meyer
I think retellings are definitely Marissa’s comfort zone but this didn’t really stand out from the crowd for me.
-
Book Review – We Three Witches by Rosie Talbot
I love how Rosie writes 😍 this prequel to the Sixteen Souls series is so wonderful. It was lovely getting to see Edie and Viola’s story, and more of the Hand.

Book Review – The Isle in the Silver Sea by Tasha Suri
This is one of the most stunning books I’ve ever read. It’s a statement about stories themselves and how they can be used as weapons. It’s a fight against governments acting in greed and in their own self interest and not that of the people. It’s also standing against othering and colonialism and racism and so many other things.
