Book Review – One for Sorrow by Amy McCulloch and Zoe Sugg
This is a tricky one for me. I like the concept a lot, but the characters were hard to connect with at first for me - in fact, I only really started racing through it once the two leads became friends. Audrey is just off-puttingly American, and Ivy is too uptight. Once they both relax a bit it's much better though.

Book Review – Agent Zaiba Investigates: The Poison Plot by Annabelle Sami
Honestly, this series is so much fun! I love Zaiba so much, she is creative and intelligent and kind. And Poppy and Ali are excellent additions to the team. Daniela Sosa’s illustrations are genuinely beautiful and really help to bring the book to life.

Book Review – The Girls I’ve Been by Tess Sharpe
Ooh, this took my fancy as soon as I heard about it. It had such potential and, luckily, lived up to it! While the blurb makes Nora out to be a con artist, she's more someone raised in the life who has the tricks. But she's got a long and complicated past, and a tricky situation right now to deal with.

Book Review – The Island by C.L. Taylor
I really like C.L. Taylor's thrillers, and her YA ones are no different. She manages to write something tense and twisty in a way that feels fresh. In this one, we get six friends who are on a Thai island for a week with a guide. But it all goes wrong early on, and the teens start experiencing strange occurrences that align with their greatest fears.

Book Review – Murder on the Safari Star by M.G. Leonard and Sam Sedgman
This series really is wonderful! Honestly, I just want to go on awesome train trips around the world. They are so full of love for trains and mysteries, it really shines out from the books.

Book Review – Even if we Break by Marieke Nijkamp
I seem to really enjoy Marieke’s writing, and when I learned this had queer and autistic rep, this book shot up my TBR! And I’m glad I did, this was another one I marathoned through in one go, I couldn’t put it down.

Book Review – One by One by Ruth Ware
One by One is a tension thriller mystery, with an alpine setting and a snowed-in cabin vibe to go with it. The whole thing is a company retreat for 9 posh people who work at a tech firm, one ex-employee with stocks and two cabin staff. It honestly sounds like a nightmare to me!

Book Review – Five Total Strangers by Natalie D Richards
This book is the perfect twisty creepy stalker thriller for an autumn or winter night. I ended up marathoning it when I couldn’t sleep (probably not my best plan, given how caught up in the story I became!) and really enjoyed it.
