I love a bit of dark academia and a mystery, so this was right up my alley. I especially liked how the book delved into the pressures the students feel under to perform, and how this is backed up in various forms by parents and the school alike, in many different ways.

I was keen to pick this up after thoroughly enjoying Stephanie's previous middle grade series, plus the premise sounded really intriguing. I'm so glad I did, it was so fun and magical!

I found this a welcome return to the world of A Throne of Swans, which I also really enjoyed! I didn't reread it and luckily picked up what was going on very fast, which is always excellent.

I am not ready for the finale of this series, I love Irene and Kai and Vale so much. The Untold Story dives right in on the back of the revelations from The Dark Archive and delves into why the library has moved more from sneaking and thievery to politicking its way through the worlds.

Book Review – You’ll Be The Death Of Me by Karen M. McManus
I am a HUGE Karen McManus fan, and I have been hyped about this book all year, even knowing nothing but the title. Her mysteries have a way about them that I really enjoy. You'll be the death of me definitely follows in the footsteps of her previous, but is slightly less of a conspiracy than her others, which I found refreshing.

Book Review – Once Upon a Winter: A Folk and Fairy Tale Anthology
ften wary of anthologies, as the stories can cover such a wide range and don't always fit my tastes. Well with this one, I needn't have worried. I liked most of the stories, and loved more than a few! I definitely think wintery fairytales is the way forward for me :D There's such a great spread of ideas in this, but all still managing to come together really nicely.

Book Review – The Puffin Portal by Vashti Hardy
What an adorable sequel to The Griffin Gate! I really enjoyed the first installment and loved this return to the universe. This time we see Grace trying to solve the mystery of lots of petty robberies.
