The FAA has been struggling with dragons attacking their planes, and hire Dane, a supernatural consultant, to look into the matter. What Dane finds in the woods is not quite the problem he expected: a group of dragon kits and their sick father.
When he learns the real reason the family was in the woods, his case only grows more dangerous, and while Dane is plenty experienced at watching his own back, taking care of baby dragons and their handsome, distracting father almost makes danger look easy.
I received this book from the publisher via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed Dragon Consultant a lot, and especially liked the dragons! They’re so fun. I would love some back story on Dane, and for some of the time jump gaps to be filled in though.
As much as it is definitely insta love, I really liked the relationship between Dane and the dad dragon, and his way with the younger ones.
I was hoping to see more of them figuring out the mystery of who was kidnapping and torturing dragons, and why, rather than just going after one sect in this installation. I was also put off my the sampler of the next book included at the end, as there’s a five year time jump in which it seems not much has happened!
Overall I think the book should have been longer but it is fun and cute, and I enjoyed it.
