This book was a lot more like magical Pokémon than I was expecting! I do say that in a good way though hehe. I really enjoyed it, especially the world building and politics elements. There are definitely times when the “fighting magical creatures” stuff gets a little worn but it does continue to work and make for a well written and interesting book. I will definitely be hinting down the second in this series – hopefully soon!
