The Ultimate Guide to YA Mysteries – Part 1
Over the last few years I have seen mystery books go from being few and far between in the YA world, to being everywhere! I grew up on mystery books like Nancy Drew and Point Crime, as well as being indoctrinated into adult crime books by my Mum and Grandma. I adore a good mystery, and was very excited about this development!

Book Review – Forged by Benedict Jacka
This is the penultimate instalment in the Alex Verus series I believe, and it really jumps right into the action. As a result, it took me a little while to get into this at the start. Once I remembered what had happened at the end of the last book, I was sorted!

Book Review – Aether Ones by Wendi Coffman-Porter
Aether Ones gives you a mystery set in a sci-fi environment, and I think the way we get to focus on the mystery elements but still get such a big influence from the space setting was pretty good.

Book Review – The Deep-Sea Duke by Lauren James
This series may be short but it is oh so sweet. The Deep-Sea Duke is just as heartwarming as it's predecessor, and really ties up everything I was hoping for in The Starlight Watchmaker! It's so pure and lovely.

Book Review – The Girls I’ve Been by Tess Sharpe
Ooh, this took my fancy as soon as I heard about it. It had such potential and, luckily, lived up to it! While the blurb makes Nora out to be a con artist, she's more someone raised in the life who has the tricks. But she's got a long and complicated past, and a tricky situation right now to deal with.

Book Review – The Island by C.L. Taylor
I really like C.L. Taylor's thrillers, and her YA ones are no different. She manages to write something tense and twisty in a way that feels fresh. In this one, we get six friends who are on a Thai island for a week with a guide. But it all goes wrong early on, and the teens start experiencing strange occurrences that align with their greatest fears.

Book Review – The Mask Falling by Samantha Shannon
This series continues to hit for me and the tension I continuing to rise, even when you think it can't possibly go any higher! It's truly a testament to Samantha's amazing writing.

Book Review – The Mask of Mirrors by M.A. Carrick
This is a book I was hyped for as soon as I heard about it. Con woman, friends as family, political intrigue, masks and secret identities... what's not to love?

Book Review – Space Detectives by Mark Powers and Dapo Adeola
This is a cute middle-grade read and, with a name like Space Detectives, I knew I had to try it.

Book Review – All the Tides of Fate by Adalyn Grace
I was so excited to get an email about this, as I'd finished All the Stars and Teeth the day before! I eagerly replied and have been waiting until close to release since!
